Some tiles have directional arrows on the back.

You must keep these arrows pointing in the same direction as you are laying floor tiles to ensure pattern alignment.
When actually laying the tile measure out an area away from walls and other border areas where you can install full squares of tile.
Starting at the center rehearse your tile pattern by simply laying them on the floor without any adhesive or glue.
Fill seams in the subfloor with caulk.
You are only going to work in one quadrant at a time.
How to install vinyl plank flooring as a beginner.
A successful tile installation project requires a level surface.
Start by laying a single half row of floor tiles in both directions without mortar starting at the center point and working outward.
Use plastic spacers at each tile corner to maintain even grout lines between the tiles.
Spacers are available where tile is sold.
Check for dips in the floor by sliding a 4 foot to 6 foot straight edge in different directions all around the room.
Lay out the unopened boxes of laminate planks in the room.
Place the first tile at the corner nearest the center point.
Floor or wall indoors or out and tile type and size are all factors.
Make sure to avoid overlapping as you do this because it may cause the floor to rise.
Before you start remember that using the correct trowel and mortar is critical to a successful tile project.
If you are installing the flooring below grade or in a room like a basement with high humidity or moisture lay down a vapor barrier before you install the flooring.

Insert spacers between the tiles.
Begin laying tiles at the center point of the two layout lines setting each tile into the mortar by tapping it gently with a rubber mallet.
If you find hollows and valleys you must fill them with a self leveling underlayment.
Tape the plastic together with a moisture resistant adhesive tape.
A stand up shower needs twice as much tile which will add on another 2 000 3 000.
This will allow them to acclimate to the room s temperature and humidity.
Once you have allowed this to set and can walk on it measure the space you have along walls and other border areas minus the grout line and mark where tiles need to be cut to fill these odd spaces.
Continue laying tiles until you ve covered the mortared area.
Lay plastic lining on the floor of the room that will be covered with the laminate flooring.
They should acclimate for at least 48 hours.
